Allen Aylett has died.

The Australian Football Hall of Fame member passed away on Friday morning.

He played 220 games for North Melbourne, before leading the club to its first premiership as President in 1975.

Aylett then became Chairman of the VFL between the years of 1977-84.

“I was a North Melbourne supporter as a little fella growing up and I had No.17 on my little North Melbourne guernsey, which happened to be Allen Aylett,” Matthews said on 3AW.
