RUMOUR CONFIRMED

A Melbourne pub is under fire for its “poor taste” social media posts in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

The Rumour File was told about the posts on Tuesday morning.

One now-deleted Facebook post from Kelly’s Hotel in Cranbourne featured a picture of a distressed-looking Prince Harry.

“Yet another grandson inconsolable because he was too miserable to take his auld (sic) Granny to lunch. Don’t let it be you!!”, the post read.

Another post featured a photo of the Queen and Prince Harry and the words “Do lunch before they die. The opportunities after are extremely limited”.

General manager Michael Goldie told the Herald Sun the posts were intended to “remind younger people of the importance of older people in their life”.
