Justice Lex Lasry was this weeks guest on What Makes You Tick?

Justice Lex Lasry, one of Victoria’s most senior Supreme Court Judges, says the retrial of Robert Farquharson was one of the worst days he’s had on the job.

Mr Farquharson was convicted of murdering his three sons by deliberately driving his car into a farm dam in 2005.

He won a retrial in 2009, but was again convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment with a 33 year minimum term.

“The particular day was when police showed a video in which they simulated the car going into the damn,” he said on What Makes You Tick?

“And they had planted a camera on top of the back seat as the car went under the water which basically depicted what the kids last view of the world would have been before they drowned.

“And I did find that very difficult, and I’m sure the jury found it difficult.”
