Woman killed in house fire in Melbourne’s north east
There has been a fatal house fire at Mooroolbark.
A woman has died and two children are in hospital.
Fire crews were called to the Maralee Drive home about 9pm on Monday night, finding the woman and two unconscious children.
All were removed from the premises and the fire was extinguished.
The woman sadly died at the scene.
The boy and girl sustained smoke inhalation and are in a critical but stable condition in hospital, where their father is present.
The exact circumstances leading up to the fire are still being determined.
Police are not looking for anyone else at this time.
