Around The Bay In A Day: 210km on Melbourne’s blue bikes
Ever ridden one of the city’s blue hire bikes?
They’re a cheap service, but they’re big, heavy, clunky and gear-less things.
So how would you feel about riding 210 kilometres on one?
That’s what the Pirates Sporting Club will be doing this weekend for the Around the Bay in a Day bike ride to raise funds for The Smith Family.
It’s their second year on these bikes, but they’re upping the stakes even further.
Listen: One of the riders, Jonathon Stone, talks with Neil Mitchell who asks: ‘WHY?!’
