Father and son fugitives Gino and Mark Stocco are behind bars charged with a long list of offences, including murder.

The murder charge came after a body was discovered on a property in the Central West of NSW, where they were arrested.

The pair, two of Australia’s most wanted men, were surrounded on a property at Elong Elong on Wednesday after eight years on the run in rural NSW and Victoria.

The eight-year hunt for Australia’s most wanted father-son fugitives ended without incident near Dunedoo, NSW.

Following the arrests, police located the body of a man at the property.

While he has not yet been formally identified, it is believed to be that of a 68-year-old man who has been missing since October 8.

The cause of his death is not yet known.

Gino, 57 and Mark, 36, became the focus of a large-scale manhunt after they shot at NSW police during a high-speed pursuit near Wagga Wagga on October 16.

The Stoccos had been on the run from police in Queensland, NSW and Victoria for almost a decade, where they were wanted for a slew of offences including, arson, property damage, identify theft and attempted murder.
