It’s claimed young Australians have been disproportionately disadvantaged by the COVID pandemic response and deserve to be compensated.

There are calls for issues such as casual work, social progression and climate change to be addressed on a high priority basis.

Swapnik Sanagavarapu, a law student and former SRC President at Sydney University, told Tom Elliott young people were happy to play their part in protecting vulnerable Australians and deserved recognition.

“It’s sort of the minimum society owes to people who have lost the best years of their life,” he said.
