Two arrested over police car ramming in Corio
Two people have been arrested after a police car ramming in Corio.
Police were called to a Purnell Road property to reports of up to 10 shots being fired at about 2.15am.
While police were at the scene, a grey Ford sedan drove onto the wrong side of the road and attempted to ram a police vehicle.
The grey sedan was located a short time later in Norlane where it rammed an unmarked police car.
No police were hurt in either ramming.
The Ford drove off and was later dumped, with the occupants fleeing on foot before being arrested a short time later.
A 23-year-old man and 43-year-old woman remain in custody.
Despite gunshot reports, police say there was no evidence of shots being fired or anyone being injured.
