Collingwood star Travis Cloke says he feels for Jake Carlisle
Collingwood star Travis Cloke admits he feels sorry for Jake Carlisle, who is currently embroiled in a trade period tug-of-war between Essendon and St Kilda.
The Bombers and Saints are currently at odds over what the Saints should give up for the tall utility.
Cloke told 3AW the trade period was something he never wanted to be involved in as a player.
‘I definitely don’t ? I had enough problems getting my own contract done, let alone a trade elsewhere,’ the key forward said on Sports Today.
‘I definitely feel for the guys involved.
‘You look at the players who get their contracts in trade week done in the first day or two ? great for them.
‘But the guys that take a few extra days ? like Jakey Carlisle – I wouldn’t want to be in his position at the moment.’
Cloke also shared his thoughts on the Pies’ bids for Jeremy Howe, Adam Treloar and James Aish.
All three want to be Collingwood players next year.
‘It’s quite flattering,’ Cloke said.
