Man charged following Springvale bank fire that left dozens injured
A man has been charged almost three months on from a bank fire in Springvale that left dozens of people injured.
The fire at about 11.30am on November 18 at the Commonwealth Bank Branch in Springvale left 36 people injured including children.
Hero tradies from across the road were seen desperately trying to rescue them and extinguish the blaze.
A man arrested at the scene, also among the injured, has spent much of the past three months in hospital.
A 21-year-old man faced court on Thursday charged with 92 offences over the fire.
Including Conduct Endangering Life, Criminal Damage Endanger Life, Gross Violence and Intentionally Cause Serious Injury.
He’s been remanded in custody ahead of his next court appearance on May 11.
