Skin cancer rates on the rise for regional residents
A new campaign is being launched, to encourage people in the bush to get checked for skin cancer.
Around 8,000 Australians were diagnosed with melanoma last year, and that’s expected to reach 11,000 a year by the end of the decade.
People over 60, and those in regional areas are most at risk.
Rural reporter Madelaine McNeill caught up with Melanoma Patients Australia chief executive, Victoria Beedle to learn more about the campaign
