RUMOUR CONFIRMED

A Melbourne man is in Milan flying the Australian flag at the World Coffee Championships.

Veneziano Coffee Roasters Operations and Production Manager Daniel Shadbolt is representing Australia in the competition.

He’ll be up against 21 other competitors, each from a different country.

He says it’s effectively a blind roasting.

“We walk in, we don’t know what we’re roasting, we don’t know where it’s from. They tell us what it is on the spot and we’ve got to come up with a plan to roast it,” he told 3AW Breakfast.
