A Melbourne mum has issued an urgent plea to the heartless thieves who stole a wheelchair accessible van her son needs to get around.

George told 3AW Breakfast the van was stolen from Glen Huntly in the early hours of this morning.

It’s a silver Mercedes V220, with the registration number ‘1PA 3CF’.

In an Instagram post, Georgie urged the thieves “PLEASE, PLEASE don’t wreck it”.

“He (her son Jude) needs it very much to hang out with his mates, get to school, attend appoitnments and much much more”, she wrote.
