Grand Prix to remain in Melbourne until at least 2035
The Australian F1 Grand Prix will remain at Albert Park until at least 2035.
The state government has today announced a 10-year extension of the deal after the current agreement ends in 2025.
The event was brought to Melbourne from South Australia in 1996.
The Andrews government says a recent assessment estimates this year’s event generated $92 million of direct spending to Victoria’s economy.
But Neil Mitchell said there’s a key detail missing from the state government’s release about the deal extension.
