Eddie McGuire says more needs to be done to create (and keep) high-achieving young Australians
Eddie McGuire says more needs to be done to keep high-achieving young Australians in the country.
He’s labelled the Higher Education Contribution Scheme (HECS) a “complete pox on society” and something that’s holding many young Australians back.
“Don’t look at this as being a sop for kids coming through,” McGuire said on 3AW Mornings.
“We need these kids coming through – they are not coming through.
“The top echelon of kids are now all looking to work overseas.”
Neil Mitchell has re-launched the Ideas Factory with Eddie McGuire on 3AW Mornings.
The TV host, radio broadcaster and former Collingwood president will join Neil Mitchell every fortnight on Thursday after 10am to discuss what can be done to improve Melbourne, Victoria and Australia.
