How a lack of migrants is ‘holding Australia back’
The former president of the Business Council of Australia says the country is being “held back” by a lack of migrants coming to Australia.
He says Australia is “desperately short” of labour.
“We just haven’t got enough people,” Tony Shepherd told Neil Mitchell.

Currently, Australia takes in approximately 160,000 people on permanent migration visas a year.
Mr Shepherd said that figure should be as much as 250,000.
