Pharmacy Guild welcomes promised cost cuts to medications
The Pharmacy Guild of Australia has welcomed news both major parties will move to reduce the cost of medication in Australia.
But Anthony Tassone, Victorian branch president, told Neil Mitchell more still needed to be done.
The Coalition has promised to cut medications on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme by $10, while Labor has committed to cuts of $12.50.
“What has been announced over the weekend is a really good first step, but more needs to be done to make medicines more affordable for Australians,” Anthony Tassone said.
