Tom Elliott has locked horns with a listener after he compared the violence of cage fighting to combat taught in the armed services. 

Kim called in to tell Tom he was way out of line.

‘What sort of training do you think you do in the army, Kim?’ Tom responded. ‘It’s actually to kill other people. Let’s not beat around the bush.’

Kim was not swayed, arguing there existed a difference between MMA fighters and soldiers. 

‘Violence can have a place in society,’ Tom said. ‘Combat sports are a natural thing. We have always had them.’
