A girl’s beach birthday party has ended in a mass brawl, after gatecrashers turned up armed with crowbars and sticks.

Saturday’s event at The Dunes the event was put up on social media.

200 people turned up, including a group of up to 20 older men.

Anita has told 3AW’s Neil Mitchell the gatecrashers started attacking the locals with weapons.

‘They put it on Facebook and a group of guys went down to meet them, obviously thinking it was all girls.

‘They came on heavy to the girls, when the local boys came down to help the girls it became a bit of a warzone,’ Anita told 3AW Mornings.

Police have confirmed numerous people were injured, but say no arrests have been made at this stage.
