Tony Shaw has hit Carlton’s midfield with one of football’s most unwanted tags.

‘They’re downhill skiers,’ the Collingwood great said on 3AW Football.

‘There was no defensive process.

‘It was embarrassing.’

Shaw went on to criticise the Blues’ list management over the past few seasons, particular the deal given to Liam Jones.

‘I don’t think he’s a good VFL player,’ Shaw said.

‘I’m not trying to be harsh but he hasn’t done it at senior level to earn that sort of contract.’

Matthew Lloyd has also hit back at criticism from Mark Maclure, who said Lloyd ‘hadn’t done his homework’ when criticising the club’s list.
