Would you prefer a public holiday on grand final eve or Melbourne Cup eve?

Melbourne roads are flowing easy and trains are empty this morning.

School kids are home and many employers encourage workers to take a day of leave.

So should we move the public holiday very few wanted – on grand final eve – to Melbourne’s unofficial public holiday?

Ross and John had a pretty emphatic response on social media, with 70 per cent of 300 voters preferring a cup eve holiday.

Would you prefer the grand final public holiday was today? (If anyone’s awake yet?!)
