The search is on for a kelpie snatched from a car in Melbourne’s west on the weekend.

Addie was taken from a vehicle parked in Tarneit Central Shopping Centre on Saturday morning when her owner entered the shops for 15 minutes from 8.15am to 8.30am.

The car windows were open and it’s believed a man gained entry to the driver’s side door and stole the dog, placing her in his white sedan before driving away.

Police are calling on anyone who may have witnessed the theft, or seen Addie since Saturday morning, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at crimestoppervic.com.au
