The holiday destinations Aussies plan to flock to this Easter
Australians are expected to spend more than $7 billion on travel this Easter.
Melbourne Airport is encouraging travellers to arrive two hours before their domestic flights, to ensure they’re processed in time.
Director of Olive Tree Travel Agency, Steven Green, says he’s “expecting a busy and popular holiday period”.
Mr Green says Tasmania and far north Queensland are the most popular domestic locations he’s seeing at the moment.
Looking abroad, the United States is popular and Asian destinations are emerging as top locations as they ease COVID-19 rules for international travellers.
“There’s a bit of a reluctance or a ‘Let’s wait and see’ with Europe,” Mr Green told Neil Mitchell.
