Western Bulldogs footy boss Chris Grant has laughed off suggestions Luke Beveridge’s “image” played a part in last week’s astonishing post-match outburst at a reporter.

Speaking on 3AW, Grant said the coach had the full support of the club and they’d moved on from last week’s events.

But he admits some of the criticism, including calls for Beveridge to shave his handlebar moustache, had made him chuckle.

“I thought there were some strange comments made during the week, but that had to be the strangest,” he told 3AW.

On more pressing matters, Grant addressed the form of Lachie Hunter and Bailey Williams, as well as Bailey Smith’s injury.
