Customers can expect to pay more for a cup of coffee, or dinner at the pub, if businesses are forced to pay a new tax to fund sick leave entitlements for casual workers.

That’s the warning from the CEO of the Restaurants and Catering Association of Australia.

Wes Lambert told Neil Mitchell small business simply couldn’t afford it.

“Ultimately, any levy would have to be passed on to customers,” he said.
