Drivers in Melbourne’s west fume over traffic bedlam
Drivers in Melbourne’s west have reacted with anger this morning, with West Gate Tunnel works causing chaos on the roads.
Traffic is down to just one lane inbound on the West Gate Freeway at Williamstown Road, resulting in heavy congestion in surrounding suburbs in Melbourne’s west.
The reason work is being done during morning peak is because the project is running overtime.
“It’s bedlam,” Deborah told Ross and Russel.
“They need to lose their job.
“It’s not rational to cut the road off with all these cars sitting here taking two hours to do a 20 minute trip.”
