Increasing teacher workloads impacting student performance, new report finds
Unproductive meetings, yard duty and extra curricular school activities are making life increasingly difficult for teachers and their ability to prepare for class, according to the Grattan Institute.
And student performance is suffering as a result.
Andrew Dalgleish, Victorian Principals Association President, said there was no doubt teacher workloads needed to be managed.
“It’s absolutely about trying to get that balance right,” he told Tom Elliott.
