Neil Mitchell asked listeners on Friday to let him know about the smartest dog they’d had or met.

It led to a big response!

And Craig Willis was among them.

His dog Rex can open a door and does so when told to “go to his room (kennel)” when he misbehaves!

The issue came up on 3AW on the back of news a show called Muster Dogs is about to air on the ABC.

It follows the journey of five kelpie puppies as they are trained into muster dogs.

Puppy training expert Helen McDonald is on the show.
