‘Quiet achiever’ details the importance of volunteers in the community
A 35-year-old who’s been volunteering for almost her entire life has told Neil Mitchell there should be more of it.
Neil wanted to celebrate “quiet achievers” in the community on Thursday.
He was put in contact with Jessica Zuber, unit controller of Chiltern SES.
She said she had always been involved with volunteer programs, starting with “buttering bread” for sandwiches with the Red Cross as a five-year-old with her mother and grandmother.
“I think it’s really important to be able to give back to our communities and help out other people,” she told Neil Mitchell.
