A Melbourne man has been left bewildered after discovering a parking inspector issued him with a ticket and then removed it moments later.

The $109 ticket was issued in Melbourne’s inner-east in November, but the recipient didn’t know about it until he received a reminder notice from the council just before Christmas.

The council added an additional charge upon issuing the reminder notice.

The recipient paid the fine, but turned to CCTV cameras in search of clues about what happened to the physical ticket.

He found footage of a parking inspector issuing the ticket, taking a photograph of it on the car, and then returning and pocketing it a moment later.
