Multiple people hurt as car smashes through Northcote Plaza
Four people have been taken to hospital and two others assessed by paramedics after a car completely smashed through at least two shops at Northcote Plaza.
The terrifying incident happened on Thursday morning, just before 11am.
Several witnesses spoke with 3AW in the immediate aftermath.
“I heard a bang and went the other way,” Anne told Tony Jones, who is filling in for Neil Mitchell.
“I honestly thought somebody was shooting.”

Ambulance Victoria has since confirmed six people were hurt.
Paramedics treated a man and a woman who were taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
No details on their injuries.
Another man was treated for upper body injuries, and he was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A woman was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital for further observation.
Two further people were assessed at the scene, but they were not taken to hospital.
Victoria Police confirmed the driver of the car is among the injured.
They are assisting police.
It is not being treated as deliberate.
Police have partially evacuated some occupants of the building to allow for a structural assessment.
