The Lord Mayor is open to ideas when it comes to making the large shed, being built over the rail tunnel construction site, an attraction.

The temporary 20-metre structure will be sound-proof to protect pedestrians and hotel guests from noise and dust.

Robert Doyle has told 3AW’s Neil Mitchell he’s seen some interesting ideas around the world.

‘When Cross rail tunnel happened in London they used it as an information board so people could know what was going on and they kept updating it,’ says Doyle.

‘I’ve seen them that have been greened, so it’s like a big green wall, that one was in Asia I think.

‘So there’s a range of things you can do to make it more interesting that just a big shed,’ Doyle said on 3AW Mornings.
