Why police are concerned about post-lockdown driving
Victorians are being urged to take extra care on the roads, now that lockdown has lifted.
The state’s head of road policing admits the police force is concerned about driver behaviour on the roads.
Neil Mitchell has already been alerted to several crashes as drivers get used to being on the road again.
“It’s no good surviving everything that we’ve all gone through, to come out the other side and make a choice that puts you at risk of road trauma,” Glenn Weir, Victoria Police’s assistant commissioner for road policing, said.
