Why this retailer won’t re-open once Victoria hits vaccination target
Melbourne retailers are able to resume trading once the state hits the 70 per cent double vaccinated target, which could happen sometime next week.
But it’s heavily restricted.
Retailers are only able to provide outdoor service only.
Chris Lutz owns Design A Space on Chapel Street and said he simply wouldn’t bother.
“It’s just not practical,” he said.
“We’ve got jewellery cabinets that end to be under lock and key, silk dresses.
“How does somebody try on clothing?”
