A man working inside a North Melbourne takeaway store has described the dramatic moments a bus smashed into the shop after colliding with a truck.

Miraculously, nobody was seriously injured.

The bus crashed into the shop on the corner of Dryburgh and Victoria streets on Friday morning.

‘I’m a bit shaken but not injured,’ Matthew told Neil Mitchell.

‘I thought it was a lightning strike.

‘The power went out immediately.

‘We just got out as quick as we could.’
