How drinking habits have changed during the pandemic
A study has shown Australians have changed their alcohol habits since COVID-19 began.
While some are drinking more than before the pandemic began, others are drinking less.
But one common theme was a shift from “reasons” to consume alcohol, like a social outing, event, or milestone.
“Instead of having these sort of designated drinking times, like going to the pub with friends, people were a bit more casual with their drinking,” Gabriel Caluzzi, Research Officer at La Trobe University, told 3AW.
