COVID-19: Victoria records its highest daily number of cases ever
Victoria has recorded 766 new local cases of COVID-19.
It’s the highest daily number ever.
Another four people with coronavirus have died in Victoria.
There are 257 people in Victorian hospitals with COVID-19, 60 of those receiving intensive care.
41 people need a ventilator to breathe.
81 per cent of people have not been vaccinated at all, 15 per cent have been partially vaccinated, and just three per cent fully vaccinated.
The Premier said that three per cent figure was inflated due to the fact it was made up largely of those from aged care.
There were 62,408 test results received on Wednesday and 40,957 vaccines administered at state-run hubs.
There are now 6666 active cases.
