Former Melbourne star backs Demons to snap premiership drought
Former Melbourne star Russell Robertson is backing his former club to break the longest premiership drought in the AFL.
They haven’t won a flag since 1964.
“I do feel like they’re the better placed team, at the moment,” the former Melbourne high-flyer told 3AW Breakfast.
Robertson played in the club’s last grand final appearance, back in 2000.
“We knew we were up against it,” Robertson said.
