Avocados for $1 could be here for a while.

A perfect storm of new crops coming into production and ideal growing conditions has delivered a bumper crop.

Production for the 12 months is up a whopping 65 percent.

While it’s good for smashed avo lovers, dollar avocados are hurting growers’ bottom lines.
