A mother has been left shaken after finding a used syringe in her mail box.

Julia rang 3AW Mornings to alert those in the Box Hill area that somebody had placed the needle inside.

While nobody was hurt and she saw the syringe, things could have ended far differently.

‘Usually my four-year-old son checks the mail for me,’ she told Neil Mitchell.
