It looks like something out of a Raymond Chandler novel.
A lonely pay packet, discarded in the car park of the Sandown Park greyhound racetrack.
On Tuesday, the Rumour File discovered that at least one employer still pays their workers in cash.
It remains to be seen whether the recipient pocketed that week’s pay, or used it to make a wise investment.
