Minister says cost of implementing domestic violence measures is an ‘investment’
The Royal Commission into Family Violence has handed down 227 recommendations for improving its response to domestic violence.
And the Andrews Government will implement all of them.
Tom Elliott is concerned about estimates that place the cost of doing so in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
But the Minister for the Prevention of Family Violence, Fiona Richardson, told Tom Elliott the benefits are the important thing.
‘Rather than thinking about it in terms of cost, think about it in terms of investment.’
