Matthew Lloyd questions Nick Riewoldt’s concussion claim
Matthew Lloyd has questioned Nick Riewoldt’s view on concussion after the St Kilda great said he’d take it to court if he was ruled out of playing in a grand final because of the AFL’s new concussion rule.
It comes after Adelaide’s co-captain Chelsea Randall was ruled out of the AFLW decider because of the new 12-day lay-off rule.
Speaking on Fox Footy, Riewoldt said he would have done “everything he could” to challenge that call.
Lloyd said he appreciated Riewoldt’s honesty, but it wasn’t the “most responsible” thing for him to say.
“We are being told 12 days for a reason,” he said.
