Tom Elliott has thrown his support behind the 38-year minimum sentence for Sean Price.

Price was jailed for life for the murder of 17-year-old Masa Vukotic in March last year, with his first hope of parole in 2054.

Tom said the sentence was appropriate.

‘There’s a very, very good chance that Sean Price will never, ever be a free man again,’ he said.

He said the parole and justice system need to take a look at themselves.

‘They should say ‘our job is not to let out people because we hope they might lead better lives’,’ he said.

He said the priority should be to protect the public.
