Melissa Etheridge has offered a free ticket to her concert for a fan who recently lost her partner.

In studio with Denis Walter, Ms Etheridge received a heartfelt phone call from a fan who has fallen on some hard times.

Amid the recent death of her partner and a cancer scare of her own, caller Chris said she hadn’t had the opportunity to get herself a ticket.

So Melissa pulled some strings.

‘Take the time to do something for yourself. You need it,’ she said.
