Explosive allegations involving cocaine use, sexual harassment and links to Mick Gatto dumped on Essendon
More explosive allegations have been dumped on Essendon by two former Bombers embroiled in a bitter legal dispute.
It’s claimed one former employee was asked to set up a meeting with underworld figure Mick Gatto.
There’s also allegations of brazen cocaine use, sexual harassment and fraud at the club.
Premiership hero and former assistant Dean Wallis and ex-logistics manager John Elliott have made the claims, as they pursue WorkSafe compensation.
The allegations were made public by The Herald Sun and have been swiftly denied by the club.
Elliott claims he was asked to set up a meeting with Mr Gatto in the wake of the 2012 supplements saga, in the hope of tracking down where the banned peptides came from
He alleges his workplace emails were hacked and correspondence deleted.
Essendon says they’re unsubstantiated claims, from two disgruntled ex-employees.
They’ve contacted police.
‘Two disgruntled ex-employees have made a number of false and unsubstantiated allegations against the club,’ Essendon Chairman Lindsay Tanner said in a statement.
