Commonwealth Integrity Commission a ‘kangaroo court’
The Government’s draft Commonwealth Integrity Commission Bill was last week made public.
The bill would effectively establish a powerful anti-corruption agency which sits at a federal level.
The bill released by Attorney-General Christian Porter would set up the new public sector watchdog known as the Commonwealth Integrity Commission.
Luke Grant spoke to Research Fellow Dara Macdonald at the Institute of Public Affairs. She says these types of commissions only become “undemocratic and illiberal kangaroo courts”.
