Sunbury residents aren’t giving up on a 20-year fight for independence from Hume Council.

The push is on for another vote on the issue, which last happened in 2013.

It’s claimed a majority of residents want to split from metropolitan Melbourne.

Tom Elliott spoke with Peter Free, President of the Sunbury Historical & Heritage Society, about the matter on Tuesday.
