COVID-19 latest: Victorian becomes youngest person to die with coronavirus in Australia
A man in his 20s has become the youngest person to die with COVID-19 in Australia.
The Premier confirmed the news on Friday morning.
He is among the 14 latest deaths in Victoria in the past 24 hours.
Three women and two men in their 80s, and four women and four men in their 90s, are the other 13 victims.
12 of those deaths are related to aged care settings.
It brings the state’s COVID-19 death toll to 289.
Victoria has recorded 372 fresh coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours.
It comes after the state reached a three-week low daily figure yesterday, with 278 new cases recorded.
There are 659 people in hospital in Victoria with COVID-19.
41 people are receiving intensive care.
26 of those are on ventilators.
