Weekend drenching breaks the back of extended drought
Farmers have been set up for a big spring, after drenching rain across the weekend.
Good totals have been recorded across the past week in large parts of South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, and Southern Queensland.
Rural editor Eddie Summerfield spoke with Goulburn farmer Guy Milson, who’s farm, “Cardross”, received 156 millimetres, the biggest falls in 32 years.
Pictures below show how dry Cardross was in January this year, and how the property is after the weekend’s rain.
